There’s no denying the Phil Spector influence on Wizzard’s “Rock’n’Roll Winter (Looney’s Tune)”; the song is catchy like the flu, the sound is absolutely huge, and the lyrics are pure nostalgia for the innocence of youth. Amazing.
Yesterday the YouTube gods were smiling on me. I stumbled across the U-Tern remix of “Bang Bang Bang” by Mark Ronson featuring Amanda Warner and Q Tip. As good as the remix is, I still prefer the original with its wild soundscapes and shifting tempo.
