Rachel Row’s “L Square” and the KiNK Mix are quality deep dance cuts with an accessibility that could easily see it’s way to the mainstream. The song really shines with hard breakbeats banging away under a floating ethereal atmospheric vibe.

Song of the Day: Ernesto Djédjé “Ziboté”

Ernesto Djédjé was a huge star on the Ivory Coast in his day and listening to “Ziboté,” it makes perfect sense. Catchy vocals, great instrumentation, groovy rhythms, and—although rare for West African records from the 70s—the recording is crystal clear and expertly mixed. One look at the cover and you know it’s gonna be funky.
