Manatee Commune, AKA Grant Eadie from Bellingham, WA infuses his beats with the lush sounds of the Pacific Northwest landscape that he calls home. On his latest EP release “Thistle” on the prolific Bastard Jazz imprint,  he fuses clattering drums alongside the chatter of birds, the trickle of rain, and the billowing of wind chimes, creating gorgeous soundscapes that just feel GREAT. Electronic, soulful, warm, and inviting. On “Clay,” Manatee Commune provides a lush soundscape that works in perfect harmony with Marina Price’s airy vocals.  It’s just a great song, man. I can’t stop listening.
