RISE!!: Community Dance Party, Saturday May 12th
RISE!! with us on Saturday, May 12th at Studio Ga Ga in Adams Morgan.
RISE!! is a call to come together through shared musical experiences. Every month we feature DJ’s who bring their own slice of the world to the dancefloor. Musicians join in to create a live musical event- with your participation encouraged! No prerequisites or pretentiousness, no fuss, no dress code. Come as YOU are and participate in a cultural celebration through rhythm.
The event boasts a rotation of guest DJs along with live musicians and dancers. Come hear live rhythmic accompaniment on everything from the bongos to the djembe to tap dancing and melodic improvisation on the flute or saxophone- there are no limits!! All are welcome and everyone is invited. Come to listen, dance and play!

What: RISE!! serving up Afro house- the RISE!! family extends beyond the languages that separate us. we celebrate artists and cultures that you won’t hear in other bars- beyond four on the floor – we bring you Brazilian rhythms, Afro Caribbean rhythms, afrobeat, cumbia, future bass, Afro house, dancehall & more- intertwining to create an intercultural conversation
