If you have the next 18 minutes to spare turn off the lights and hook up your best speakers and groove to this monster track from Germany’s Can.

Can was formed in Cologne in 1968 and is one of those bands you may never have heard of but I guarantee you that half the bands you like have listened them to countless times. Even Johnny Rotten admitted back in 1977 to being a fan. Not many punks would admit to liking bands with 18 minute long songs but then there was nobody out there like Can.

Can was funky, minimal, electronic, improvisational and totally unique and original. They also possessed my favorite drummer of all time – Jaki Liebezeit. No one can lock into a groove and hold it as long as Liebezeit.
