Song of the Day: Adam and the Ants “Scorpios”

Be fearless just like the Scorpio

Adam Ant: the Dandy Highwayman

detailed, stylish production

‘Antmusic’ conquered the world in 1980. Combining burundi drumming, twanging guitar leads, and chanted vocal hooks, Adam and the Ants released a string of post-punk hit singles and the Kings of the Wild Frontier album. Adam and the Ants moved away from their signature drum-heavy sound on the eagerly-anticipated follow-up, 1981’s Prince Charming album. Lead track “Scorpios” incorporates soundtrack funk, horn charts, and inventive, detailed production, a perfect introduction to Prince Charming’s stylish, cinematic sound.

After 15 years away, Adam Ant has returned to music with another high concept album Adam Ant & the Good, the Mad and the Lovely Posse and accompanying tour which has been receiving rave reviews.
