That magnificent UK diva known as Alice Russell will be bringing her soul-drenched vocals to Liv Nightclub this Thursday, May 9th. This marks her 4th visit to DC and her second performance at Liv. The woman is a powerhouse vocalist who can throw down with the best of them. To see her in an intimate setting like Liv is a real treat. As her newly-released fifth solo album To Dust (out now on Tru Thoughts Recordings) may prove to be her commercial breakthrough (see her network debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live below), I am sure she’ll be playing much bigger venues next time she’s in town.
