With this weather I thought “Great Balls of Fire” would be a perfect Song of the Day! Jerry Lee Lewis sounds like a man who is playing the piano like his life depends on it.
So, for the Fourth of July Holiday I wanted to pick an “iconic” American song for my Song of the Day. came up with “American Music” by the Violent Femmes
“Windowlicker” by Aphex Twin is an amazing IDM song. It is his Symphony no. 5 in my opinion. It was mind-blowing when it came out in 1999 and still holds up today.
“Fallout” by Neon Indian is an amazing song! For years now, every time I hear it I get the chills. The melodic back ground and voice against the grating guitar gets me every time.
“My Moon My Man” by Feist came out in 2007 but I was listening to Pandora and it randomly came on the station I was enjoying (was not expecting that one) and it took me back. I don’t think I need to even explain why it is so good… it just is!
