Three minutes (2:54 actually) of pure adrenaline Joe Jackson‘s “Got the Time” comes at you like a freight train! Released in 1979, “Got the Time” was the last song on Side 2 of the album Look Sharp, Jackson’s debut.

Based around one of the best (and loudest) bass lines I’ve ever heard the song also has slashing guitar, pounding drums and chant-along lyrics which never fail to get me moving.
Anthrax did a cover version in 1990.
