Carly and John’s Wedding at Castle on the Hudson

Wow! What an amazing place to get married…at a castle! Located in the Hudson Valley in New York,  The Castle on the Hudson is a breath taking scene and an enchanted place for such a special day.

The slightly overcast day was fitting of this Norman-style fortification. The ceremony was lighthearted and featured a wine ceremony where two wines chosen by the bride and groom were mixed and then share with each other as a symbol of their union. After the marriage was complete the newlyweds walked down the isle together to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder.

Then John and Carly’s first dance was to “Jersey Girl” by Bruce Springsteen. The dance floor was started off with Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Let’s Groove” and was packed the rest on the night. Mixes between Bee Gees and Justin Timberlake seemed to set the dance floor on fire. Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano” was got a fun reactions from the crowd. A few mash ups were played including Lobsterdust’s mix of Daft Punk, Usher and Deep Purple “Funky Smoke” which had the party people singing a long. All in all this party was a serious onslaught of good times… consider this castle stormed!
