Here’s a rare Afro rock-psych bomb from Nigeria’s Monomono. I was lucky enough to find a copy of this LP in Kano, Nigeria in 2009. Out of the whole stack of records I took home with me, this is probably my favorite, front to back. Rock solid Afro rock from the first track to the last.

A lame attempt to reorganize my records this past weekend quickly devolved into an extended session of listening to forgotten gems hidden in my vinyl stash. One of my favorite De La Soul cuts, “Sh.Fe.MCs” was released on the rare promo-only Clear Lake Audiotorium EP in 1994.
