Most re-edits suck. Fortunately there are a bunch of solid re-editors out there: Rahaan, Jamie 3:26 and Cratebug, to name a but a few, who take great songs and give them just the right touch to squeeze new excitement out of them without leaving gaudy fingerprints all over the place.

I’d always been a fan of Stephen Stills’ original folk-rocking tune, “Love the One You’re With,” and so I was knocked out by The Isley Brothers’ soulful reinterpretation when I first heard it. And now I’m knocked out again by The Apple Scruffs’ expansive new re-edit.
