Last year, LA based indie-dance production duo, Classixx, released their debut full length, Hanging Gardens. One of the highlights of the album was the St. Etienne-esque “A Stranger Love,” featuring vocalist Sarah Chernoff of LA-based band Superhumanoids. Another LA-based producer, Salva, just released an (almost) future-bass type remix of “A Stranger Love.” Salva takes elements of juke, r&b-leaning trap, and the Minneapolis sound and takes the indie-dance tune through a very chilled out wringer. It has a more upbeat and stripped down energy than the original, but retains the melodic elements of the song. Check it out here.
