It’s Election Day 2012! In recognition of this day, I’ve chosen James Brown’s “Funky President (People It’s Bad)” as my song of the day.

Released in 1974, “Funky President” was sampled heavily during the 90’s by numerous hip-hop staples, including Poor Righteous Teachers, Big Daddy Kane, , and more.  According to Brown, the song’s title refers to 38th President Gerald Ford.

Whether you’re a member of the Democratic, Republican, Independent, Green, Libertarian party or other, get out there and vote for the candidate you believe should be the next “Funky President”!
