Song of the Day: The Foreign Exchange “Call It Home / Pity”

The Foreign Exchange

In 2002, a Dutch music producer and an American rapper from North Carolina started trading ideas and files online after connecting on a music message board. A little over a decade later, that first contact has yielded four albums, a Grammy nomination, heavy tour miles, and their own independent label.

Nicolay and Phonte, known collectively as The Foreign Exchange are poised to drop album number five. Their double single “Call It Home/Pity” just hit iTunes this morning. It’s the next step in the ongoing evolution of their distinct strain of future soul.
