Rates & Packages

Great music is at the heart of everything we do. We tap into our 100+ collective years of professional experience to craft a musical experience as unique as our clients’ events. We don’t just know the best music to play, we know how songs fit together to create a sense of flow resulting in a dynamic dance floor every time. We know the difference between creating the life of the party and being the life of the party. To the uninitiated, this may seem like a minor detail, but it makes all the difference to our clients.

We offer complete DJ and audio services, covering:

• Personalized music selections as well as recommendations to pack the dance floor
• Professional DJs that know how to work within a variety of venue settings and timeline demands, as well as be the Master of Ceremonies that adapts to your own personality and style
• High quality, professional-grade sound systems throughout the event spaces
• LED uplighting
• LED pinspotting
• open format photo booth

When you book one of our wedding packages you benefit from:

• our 100+ years of collective DJ experience curating and mixing music for epic dance parties
• great sound everywhere it is needed
• all music research/purchases (if we don’t have it, we’ll get it, at no additional cost to you)
• 3 professional custom song edits*
• access to our easy-to-use event management and planning system, Basecamp
• the security and confidence of our own emergency DJ backup system
• travel within 65 miles of event destination**

*Need a shorter first dance, but want something more sophisticated than a nerve-wracking fade-out halfway into the song? No problem, we’ll create a smooth custom edit and send it to you long before your wedding day
**For destinations over 250 miles away, please contact us directly for a custom quote that includes travel and accommodation fees.
As you can already tell, we do things just a little differently. So rather than name our DJ packages after gems or precious minerals, we’ve named our packages after classic soul singers, from Frankie Lymon (our smallest service package) to James Brown (our biggest, most expansive service package).

1. The James Brown Package

   Want it all? This is it.

   The full show. Ceremony sound engineering, cocktail hour, lively reception, lighting, photo booth, and an after-party to finish: this is everything we do. Only the ultimate package is worthy of Mr. Dynamite himself.

7. The Frankie Lymon Package

   Planning a smaller event?

   Our latest package is designed to meet our clients’ increasingly diverse needs. For couples planning an intimate event with less than 75 guests, The Frankie Lymon, with smaller-scale sound, is our budget package.

   The Frankie Lymon Package includes:
   • four hours max performance time
   • single sound system
   • DJ set up
     
   • Client request list of a maximum 50 songs

Extras

Additional equipment needs not covered in the packages above (ex. a ceremony or cocktail hour sound system to supplement the Frankie Lymon package) are available as an a la carte add-on.

US Holidays

For events falling on or around major US holidays, full Saturday rates apply. Observed 2021 holidays include:
• New Year’s Day (Monday, January 1^st, 2021)
• Memorial Day weekend (Saturday thru Monday, May 28^th – 31^st, 2021)
• Fourth of July (Sunday, July 4^th, 2021)
• Labor Day weekend (Saturday thru Monday, Sept. 4^th – Sept. 6^th, 2021)
• Indigenous People’s Day (formerly Columbus Day) (Saturday thru Monday, October 9^th– 11^th, 2021)
• Thanksgiving weekend (Wednesday – Sunday, Nov. 24^th – Nov. 28^th, 2021)
• Christmas (Friday – Saturday, December 24^th – 25^th, 2021)****
• New Year’s Eve (Friday, December 31^st, 2021)

****The Friday/Sunday discounted rate applies during the week following Christmas until New Year’s Eve (Sunday – Wednesday, December 26^th – 30^th, 2021)

Payment methods

We accept payments via personal check, bank check, or money order. We can accept online credit card payments through Paypal and Stripe.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to source vendors that match their needs and budget. So we encourage our prospective clients to explore the wedding vendor market to compare rates and services offered. With an area average of $2250.00* for entertainment in the Metro DC area, we offer exceptional services at competitive rates. That said, you may find cheaper, but you probably won’t find better.
