Melding gorgeous pop melodies, and art-rock experimentalism with psychedelic flourishes, and played with the energy of punk, “Something 4 the Weekend” was the first promo single off Super Furry Animals’ Creation Records debut, Fuzzy Logic.

Combining the uniquely warm vocals of Super Furry Animals’ leader Gruff Rhys and the gleaming 80s-influenced electro-pop production work of Boom Bip, lead single “Mid-Century Modern Nightmare” musically sums up left-wing Italian publisher Giangiacomo Feltrinelli’s world view circa the late 1950s.
