Song of the Day: The Overcoats “The Fog”

The Overcoats are a folk-electro-soul duo from New York. Their single “The Fog” has a nice laid back vibe and is really well-recorded. The backing production is super simple but effective some simple chords and mellow claps propel the song forward, the guitar plucks that come in later help build up the song to a nice bridge and ending. The refrain “Freedom is when I’m without you” really works well and I can see why this song is getting so much love on Soundcloud.
