Zack and Molly tie the knot in Casanova

I had never heard of Casanova, VA before Zachary and Molly got married at the Poplar Springs Inn there on September 22nd. Casanova is basically a rural intersection in Fauquier County, and the Inn is a magic spot. Feeling like old England on a absolutely perfect early Fall day, this was a wedding and reception to remember.

The ceremony was held outside behind the stone manor house. Geese and hawks flew around during a ceremony which featured lots of laughing reflecting the easy going nature of the bride and groom. The Cherry Blossom String Quartet played during cocktail hour and then for the first dance, which was a great cover of Barry White’s “My First, My Last, My Everything.” Dinner was held inside the manor house and it was lovely.

After dinner the crowd came back outside for the parents dances “Sweet Baby James” by James Taylor and “Rainbow Connection” from Kermit the Frog! The bonfires had been lit by the staff and the rest of the night was a non-stop danceathon until “Save the Last Dance for Me” closed it out. This was one of the most fun crowds I’ve ever DJed for. Great dancers who moved to everything from the Dixie Hummingbirds to Robin Thicke to MJ and Madonna to Carly Rae Jepsen to Tupac and the Proclaimers. The dancers never let up!
