On Saturday June 17th, Ty Hussell will be joining DJ Crown Vic (Jim Thompson) of Electric Cowbell Records and Multiflora Productions at Bossa Bistro in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC for the monthly party: RISE!! The event will include two live drummers as well as DJ’s. Hussell and Vic are old buddies. When they join forces, it’s always an all vinyl affair featuring live percussion, chocked full of rare rhythms and sounds from around the world.

DJ Crown Vic of Analog Soul Club DC. Label boss of Electric Cowbell Records and operates Multiflora Productions – a multifaceted, multicultural agency that specializes in expanding the reach of genre-bending roots-to-the-future music through artist management, event marketing, and music releases. He is also the drummer of DC local weird world band, Time is Fire.

Ty Hussell, is also of Analog Soul Club DC. Originally from the D.C./Baltimore corridor, Ty Hussell is a DJ & multi-instrumentalist with a deep love for rhythms & sounds from around the world. Ty’s been making music, DJing and teaching professionally for 25 years, with instruments of focus including piano & keyboards, guitar, electric bass, drum kit, percussion, and his first love. . . . turntables! Drawing from his extensive and eclectic collection, he incorporates mixtures of Afro-Latin/Brazilian/Jamaican/Caribbean, African, Funk, Soul, Disco & Boogie into his inspired DJ sets. He accompanies these sonic explorations with an array of live percussion instruments, which he has collected from various parts of the planet.
