I had to post up this mix by Chris Read, he took one of my favorite albums and mixed up remixes and originals in such a cool and unique way. Totally breathing life into this now 20 year old album, and making it sound fresh to these old ears. If you haven’t heard of The Pharcyde this is a perfect course to get you introduced. They came along after the whole Native Tongues, and they were from the west not east but their style and sound reminded me of that style. A lot of the beats on the album were done by J Dilla.
