At this point in time, I’m in Thailand, and hoping beyond hope that I can score a cheap copy of the following, “Give It Up“, via the album on which it resides, “Hot Pepper“. Now, the group in question,”The Impossibles“, actually hail from Thailand, and cut this LP in the 70s. From what I’ve been informed by some store owners here, they started out by singing and performing only Thai music, and then slowly progressed to performing more “international” music. Some of you might recognize the music, or the name of the track, as being originally written by a famous US band, the mighty Kool and the Gang. This Thai cover is right up there with the original, complete with fun little drum breaks to boot. Yes. Give it a spin!
