Song of the Day: The Gladiators “Naturality”

As spring finally arrives I find myself reaching more and more for my reggae records. One of my long time favorites has been the song “Naturality” by The Gladiators which was released on the Virgin album of the same name in 1979. This song always puts me in a good mood with it’s great rhythm, beautiful vocals and conscious message. I can’t help but smile when I hear it.

Yes I’m a walk foot man – lot’s of foundation
Naturality makes me the man that I am
Yes I’m proud – all the people will see
That naturality is the best of any design

Founded by Albert Griffiths in 1968 the Gladiators were a top vocal roots reggae band who were quite big in the mid to late 70’s and are still around today with Griffith’s sons now carrying the torch.
