Song of the Day: Shiny Two Shiny “Moment To Moment”

The early 80’s were a great time for this acoustic/synth/drum machine-backed music that I’m really into. Shiny Two Shiny were comprised of Gayna Rose Madder and Robin Surtees (who was also in the English rock band Benny Profane), a duo from Liverpool that had that sound I’m talking about. Their name was derived from Lou Reed’s lyrics for “Venus in Furs”, by The Velvet Underground (themselves derived from Leopold von Sacher-Masoch’s infamous novella Venus in Furs). They were active in the early 80’s playing shows and were also able to release a mini-album and a couple of EPs on Red Flame Records.

“Moment To Moment” is a song off of their 12” split with Flo Sullivan, Gayna Rose Madder’s previous moniker. Check it out!
