“Holding On” is the lead single from LA-based duo Classixx full-length debut Hanging Garden. The single and album have been out since late spring on Innovative Leisure, but I’m only now coming around to giving both some well-deserved attention (also took me a while to track down the vinyl album release with its 80s Olympics-inspired artwork and nifty die-cut sleeve). Smoothed-out disco-pop with a memorable melody line and super-crisp production (love the drum sounds these guys make!). On the Holding On single, I’m really feeling the deep bass groove that Jerome LOL adds to his remix on the b-side. Recommended.
