Song of the Day: Pink Floyd “Time”

Pink Floyd‘s Dark Side of the Moon was released on March 1, 1973. To say it was a commercial and critical success would be true English understatement. It has sold over 45 million copies and consistently ranks among the greatest rock albums ever recorded. It was also one of my mom’s favorite records (hence mine too). My mom’s birthday which fell on this year’s solar eclipse had me reaching for this record again.

“Time”, featured here, is one of my favorite tracks on the LP although they’re all part of the greater whole. It was the only song credited to all four members of the band although Roger Waters wrote the lyrics. David Gilmour and Richard Wright share the vocal duties. Go out and get this record. Its still in print and is probably still in the top 100!
