Danielle And John’s Black Horse Inn Wedding
Danielle and John chose The Black Horse Inn, a magnificent bed & breakfast in Warrenton, VA, as the setting for their autumn wedding celebration. It was a perfect day. The sky was beautiful, a mild wind blew and beautiful foliage adorned the grounds of the estate.
Danielle and John’s ceremony took place in the garden, beneath a gazebo and accompanied by a quartet. The guests frequently remarked at how beautiful Danielle’s dress looked against the fall backdrop.
After the exchange of vows, the wedding guests made their way to the patio for cocktails. They quartet continued to entertain the guests with their renditions of popular classics.
During the cocktail hour, the couple posed for photos around the estate. Photographers Allison and Chris Britton did an excellent job choosing locations for the shots, and capturing Danielle & John’s special day.
Danielle and John entered the grand ballroom and were introduced to “At Last” by Etta James. They performed their first dance to two songs by Michael Giacchino, I edited at their request to make it flow as one. The danced a flawless routine that was well received by their guests.
During dinner, I played classics like “What Is This Thing Called Love” by Billy Holiday, “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole and “You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra. I received many nods of approval, so I knew I was on the right track.
As dinner concluded, Danielle’s father joined her on the dancefloor and they danced to “In My Life” by The Beatles. John then danced with his mother to “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. Screams of delight shot around the room at the start of guitar intro. John and his mother smiled with joy.
I then opened the dancefloor with “I Gotta a Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas, and the grand ballroom erupted. The guests danced to songs by Maroon 5 (“Moves Like Jagger”), LMFAO (“Sexy and I Know It”), and Katy Perry (“Firework”).
The dancing continued for the next hour, only slowing down for the cake cutting.
Following the cake cutting, the guests continued to get down on the dancefloor to a mix of 80’s jams including A-Ha‘s “Take On Me”, Billy Idol‘s “Dancing With Myself” and Michael Jackson‘s “Beat It”. The dancing came to a conclusion with a huge sing-a-long to the Journey‘s anthem “Don’t Stop Believin'”.
Danielle and John’s perfect Black Horse Inn wedding closed with a sparkler send off set to “We Are Young” by Fun. Tears flowed and the guests cheered as they took off into the night.
