Adrienne & Jeremy’s Wedding at The George Washington Masonic Memorial

If you’ve never been to visit the George Washington Masonic Memorial, it’s worth a trip to Old Town Alexandria to see this idyllic venue. On a warm late afternoon in late spring, Adrienne and Jeremy rang in their wedding with a live marching band. As the wedding party triumphantly headed into the memorial building I greeted them with a mix of classic motown hits and some modern R&B. After the guests filled the dining room, Jeremy and Adrienne celebrated their first dance to a live version of “You Ruined Everything” by Jonathan Coulton. I have to confess I didn’t know Jonathan Coulton before their wedding, but that song is a top notch slow jam.

I should note that Jeremy is a DJ too (and from what I hear, a great one), so once dance time came around I knew I had to come with it. After setting things off with Beyonce’s “Love on Top,” we got in a few classics to set the mood and then it was time for some bangers. Top songs of the night were probably LMFAO’s “Shots,” Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” and Denice Williams’ “Let’s Hear it for the Boy.” The wedding party closed out the night with a memorable reenactment of “So Long, Farewell” from The Sound of Music soundtrack.

A big ‘thanks!’ to Jeremy, Adrienne, and all of their awesome friends for making that night a blast.
