An absolutely amazing night of house music, from the afro- and Latin-flavored deep sounds of The Sol Power All Stars (complete with live percussion, as always), to the funky electronic-tinged house of All Good Funk Alliance, to the classic, deep, and soulful house that Dimitri From Paris calls his stock-in-trade. This is a do-not-miss night!

L.T.D.

My musical partner Frank and I did a series of re-edits and re-works of a couple classic funk tunes. With this L.T.D. edit we flipped the best parts, added some tough drums and added some hype vocals from some classic Queen Latifah and Biz Markie tracks.

Fort Knox Recordings and DC Brau proudly present the Funk 4 Peace Ball, featuring DJ Nu-Mark of Jurassic Five, and exciting DJ sets from Fort Knox Recordings artists Fort Knox Five, All Good Funk Alliance, Empresarios, Nappy Riddem, and QDup Foundation. Once again, its time to Funk 4 Peace!!

Not only is “Go-Go Bananas (ft. Mustafa Akbar)” a great song with a funky beat but it was produced by our own Rusty B. and Frank Cueto, aka All Good Funk Alliance. The opening base rift is a very old-feeling funky start that smoothly transitions into a great future go go song.

If you have not checked out All Good Funk Alliance’s Jacks Of All Trades Remix EP#1, get on it now. DC’s own Dads on Display give “Closer To The Edge” a wicked boogie-flavored rework and make it really work on the dance floor. A nice remix from 2 DC favorites, AGFA and DOD here.
