No one else blends African, Latin and Caribbean sounds across eras with the effortless skill of The Sol Power All-Stars. Everything from obscure disco breaks to afro-pop to cumbia to roots reggae finds its way into a Sol Power set.

The Sol Power All-Stars have released two exclusive vinyl projects showcasing their ability to flip classic tropical sounds for the modern dancefloor. The first was for boutique tastemaking label G.A.M.M., followed up by another 12-inch on BSTRD Boots. Electric Cowbell Records came calling for a remix of “Fatou Kounkoun Sissoko” by Mali griot Cheick Hamala Diabate that was released on his “Prudence” EP. Next up is a remix for Brazilian percussion ensemble Record Breakin’ Ensemble on Record Breakin’ Music. Meistro and DJ Stylus have all spent years immersed in the Washington DC dance music, nightlife and live music scenes, making names for themselves in every niche from underground hip-hop to reggae to electronica.

A Sol Power set is a joyous, sweaty affair that takes the dancefloor across continents of rhythms, feeling like a Cuban barrio, a beach in Rio and a disco in Lagos all at once.
