Song of the Day: Too Many Zooz “Flightning”

Somewhere between a Balkan nu-rave and an acid-soaked klezmer madhouse best describes the driving sounds of Too Many Zooz. This trio from NYC comprised of Matt Doe (trumpet), Leo P (baritone saxophone) and David “King of Sludge” Parks (drums, percussion) has graduated from the clubs and subway tunnels of NYC to the summer festival stages of Europe and rightly so. Their sound which they describe as Brass House is hyper propulsive and every bit as explosive as much more established brass bands such as Balkan Beat Box or the Hot 8 Brass Band. Three guys moving the needle forward.
