Super Cat’s “Trash and Ready” is, in my opinion, the greatest dancehall 45 ever. This record is flawless: it’s on the Sleng Teng Riddim (arguably the best riddim ever); lots of crew shoutouts; boastful repping of Clarks, money and jewelry; and production by Bobby Digital (the original) and King Jammys (R.I.P.).

Everytime I play it I get the same chills I felt when I heard it for the first time as a likkle yout’ in 1985. Big up Super Cat the Don Dada.
