Like most folks, I learned about Sierra Leone’s Refugee Allstars in the 2005 documentary bearing the same name. It’s an incredible story and I highly recommend you check it out. Their debut album, released around the time the documentary was in theaters, was a solid, but laid back affair. A few weeks ago, I heard their new one, “Radio Salone” and was really pleased to hear that it is more dancefloor (and DJ) friendly than their previous efforts. Here’s one of the best joints from the LP, produced entirely by Ticklah.
