Tomorrow, American folk legend and national treasure Woody Guthrie turns 100 years old. Today, American funk legend(s) and national treasure(s) Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings supply the Song of the Day with a smoldering cover version of Guthrie’s best-known song, “This Land is Your Land.” Jones’ version was used to great effect over the opening credits of 2009’s Up in the Air, a movie about a guy who fires people for a living.
