The original “Ryan Must Be Destroyed” by Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth sounds to me like a Japanese take on trap music. The perfect soundtrack to a fictitious car advertisement featuring a Japanese hipster lugging a JVC RC-550JW while climbing Mt. Fuji swathed in Bathing Ape, Black Weirdos and Ato Matsumoto, lost in the etherial mist of dawn. What can I say? I have a vivid imagination.

But for whatever reason, I prefer the more uptempo remix by the 21 year old Australian producer Tom Purcell aka Wave Racer whose sound always comes across as the love child of an OG Nintendo and an arpeggiator.
