Song of the Day: Obas Nenor “Change Got To Come”

Out now (vinyl only) on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music,Obas Nenor (straight outta Tel Aviv) delivers with a 1-2 punch of a 12″. The A-side give a subtle house treatment and re-edit of a Gil Scott Heron classic, but for me, “Change Got To Come” on the b-side is the winner. The thick bass line, reggae vocal sample, and deep soul loops come together in perfect deep house harmony. This one is a dance floor bomb (in a good way).

Obas Nenor is one half of RaBo & SnoB (Whiskey Disco) and is the deep, soulful alias for DJ Sabbo from Tel Aviv. I’m proud to say that his next release will be on the Sol Power All-Stars imprint, Sol Power Sound (coming this Fall).
