some serious porch stomping is going on in PG County

I was never much a of a rock dude, but lately I’ve been listening to it more and more. I’m particularly feeling southern, bluesy, country sounding rock and this Link Wray song, “Fire and Brimstone,” is just that. The whole LP (which I recently scored) was recorded in his brother’s chicken shack “studio” (pictured above) in PG County and was a huge departure from Wray’s previous work. For part of the session, apparently, the band didn’t have access to a full drum kit so they just stomped the floor in place of the kick drum. Not sure if that is true on “Fire and Brimstone” but it does sound like some serious porch stomping is going on. This one makes you want to drink too much whiskey.
