I consider this an overlooked gem when it comes dance floor staples at a wedding let alone a great song in general. “Shotgun” written by Autry DeWalt Mixon, Jr. (better known as Junior Walker) was released in 1965 by Junior Walker and the All Stars and hit #4 on the billboard top 100. I love the drum fills and the sax on this track really hits the groove. Interesting note about this track is the guitar plays only one chord through the entire track: A-flat seventh. Looks like I know what song I’ll be learning to play next.
