Chicago-based DJ/production duo Altered Tapes continue their winning streak of inventive but respectful remixes with their latest effort, a reworking of Jamie XX’s already-terrific “Loud Places” single with Romy (from his critically-lauded In Colour album, released earlier this year and garnering Song of the Day accolades from us). Moving in a decidedly more house-oriented direction, Altered Tapes up the tempo and seamlessly blend in a bit of Idris Muhammad. Guaranteed to inspire smiling faces on the dance floor.
