Song of the Day: Ideal Forms “Bells Dear Heart”

Ideal Forms on stage
Ideal Forms plays at Comet Ping Pong this Saturday, which continues to book the majority of shows that I would actually go to if I actually went to shows. Plus there is pretty good pizza, if you are into that. Featuring underground rock veterans James Canty (Nation of Ulysses, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, French Toast) and Robert Austin (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Good Omens), Ideal Forms has the assurance of a bunch of dudes who have been doing this for a while. In this song I hear some Joy Division, a lot of Lungfish, and maybe a little of The Doors. The fixation on nautical themes happens to jibe with the siren call of the Brooklyn in my mind.
