France Joli’s “Gonna Get Over You” is an all time favorite disco cut of mine. I think I might be a sucker for disco break-up songs because Curtis’s How Can I Tell Her is another favorite. Anyhow, Gonna Get Over You is such a triumphant midtempo stepper, it gets me every time. You’ll catch me dropping this during heavy warm up sets around 11 PM. It’s another winner for Prelude records, but I could just as easily have seen this one get some major label love from a label like Warner Bros. back in the day.

I’ve been rocking this one strictly in mp3 form until a few months ago when I finally came across a copy for a nice price at our own Neal Becton’s Som Records here in DC. Thanks Neal!
