I guess I’m feel nostalgic, but Del tha Funkee Homosapien was a favorite back in my youth. “Why Ya Want to Get Funkee” was originally on Del’s cassette-only album Future Development, released by Del’s crew, the Hieroglyphics on their in-house label Hiero Imperium (I think after Del got dropped from Elektra?). Haven’t heard it in years and it sounds just as good today as it did back in the day!
