I first learned of this Loft Classic through Yam Who’s? remix of Damn’s! dance floor interpretation of the Charles Earland masterpiece. They both crushed it on their takes, but the original (with the all-star cast of Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, and Harvey Mason) has forever been on my want list. Thanks to Som Records, I can now cross it off. I would have loved to hear this at the Loft way back when!
