Last week the Washington Post ran a good article about The Jimi Hendrix Experience playing a string of shows at the site of the Suntrust bank at 18th and Columbia NW. In the spirit of recalling obscure DC area rock history, here is a song by the Reston based Dischord band Branch Manager. A technically proficient outfit with a goofy streak, they could even delve into Hendrix territory as in the second half of this song. When the “20 Years of Dischord” compilation came out, I remember one discerning listener stating that Branch Manager was his favorite new discovery. You can judge for yourself.
