Lauren & Josh in Washingtonian Bride & Groom

My utterly awesome clients Lauren & Josh were featured in the Summer 2011 issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom!

Already featured in The Bride’s Guide at Martha Stewart Weddings, their wedding proved too irresistible for Washingtonian to not feature it themselves.

The October 30th, 2010 wedding reception took place at Longview Gallery in downtown DC. Working with Maria Cooke & Kelly Seizert from Ritzy Bee, they created an “urban barn” themed event with a tangerine & slate color palette, cleverly articulated by utilizing the concrete industrial space of Longview and a few strategically-placed harvest pumpkins. Given Lauren’s vocation as an interior designer, it is no wonder the details were perfect, from the tangerine floor map (!) to the custom-monogrammed cocktail napkins (all by Simplesong Design).

The evening started with heavy hors d’oeuvres, a well-stocked bar, and a heartwarming first dance to The Beatles “Oh! Darling” and finished with a cowbell-banging, tambourine-shaking, pants-splitting dance party! [Seriously, it was amazing fun!]
