Its been a while since I've put up a chart. But I most definitely have been shopping! Feeling these as of late.

1.  Dunkelbunt - The Chocolate Butterfly [Chat Chapeau] Balkan horns meet ragga toasting over some broken beats. Dope!

2.  The Broken Keys - The Witch [Tru Thoughts] The Music Machine's classic "Talk Talk" gets chopped up into a funky mess.

3.  Nostalgia 77 - Lifetime Search [Tru Thoughts white label promo] Quantic & Alice Russell meet the Talking Heads. Whoa.

4.  A-KO - Soul '69 [Melting Pot Music] A-KO kills it with this cut'n'paste funk number. MPM is quickly becoming the label to beat.

5.  Coldcut - Everything is Under Control [Ninja Tune] Jon Spencer does his hipster growling blues vocal approximation over some appropriately aggro/electro Coldcut beats. The Solid Groove Dub is where it is at.

6.  All Good Funk Alliance - Super Jam (Flow Dynamics Remix) [Funk Weapons] Surefire dancefloor jam from DC's own AGFA.

7.  DJ Regal - Rock the Funky Beat [Funk Weapons] Disco-flavored funk from DJ Regal. Another nice one from Funk Weapons.

8.  Elemental - Grand Tour [Cookshop] Jazzy UK hip-hop from the Taster 3 EP on Cookshop. Such nice folks over there in Brighton.

9.  Lost Idol - Firmly Rooted (Hint Remix) [Cookshop] Another nice EP from label-head Lost Idol. Very organic, smooth jazzy feel. A jumpy bassline keeps it moving along nicely.

10.  Alice Russell - Fly in the Hand [Tru Thoughts] Ms. Russell simply runs things. Her DC appearance from November is still fresh in the memory. So much soul...
