Carnival is upon us! I need a samba and I need it bad, and this one from Elizabeth Santos Leal de Carvalho, aka Beth Carvalho, is one of the best. It’s from 1979 and its a guaranteed dance floor shaker. It was even apparently inserted into the Mars Pathfinder! Carvalho is one of most important sambistas (male or female) ever and this samba is one of her most well known. Pour yourself a capirinha, turn up the volume and just try and sit still!
