My favorite Aerosmith album is Toys in the Attic but “One Way Street” from the self-titled Aerosmith album (released right before Toys) has always been my favorite Aerosmith song by a long shot. Steven Tyler always wanted to be Mick Jagger and I’d rank this track right up there with one of my favorite Stones‘ songs, “Midnight Rambler.” Like “Rambler” it’s about seven minutes long, features the lead singer playing harmonica, has bad-ass guitar playing throughout, and contains dark lyrics with swagger to spare. I LOVED this track when I was 14, and I still love it today. Play it LOUD!
