Here’s a rare Afro rock-psych bomb from Nigeria’s Monomono. I was lucky enough to find a copy of this LP in Kano, Nigeria in 2009. Out of the whole stack of records I took home with me, this is probably my favorite, front to back. Rock solid Afro rock from the first track to the last, all laced with crazy organ and guitar solos, wild percussion, great vocals, and all around great song writing. With amazing cover art to boot. Soundway Records reissued this one last year and I’d definitely recommend picking it up. Also, it’s the first track off of this mix of Nigerian records I made years ago.
