Song of the Day: Life Without Buildings “Young Offenders”

Life Without Buildings by Alan Dimmick

The first Life Without Buildings song I ever heard was “The Leanover“. It was around 2000, before their debut album Any Other City came out. Sue Tompkin’s unique singing/narrating style and Robert Johnston’s jangly guitar playing got me hooked on this band from Glasgow.

For Record Store Day 2014, Rough Trade/Tugboat/What’s Your Rupture reissued this gem of a record.

Here’s an upbeat tune for you. Enjoy!
